Hello Everyone!

What can I say....

I'm done with floundering,

taxes are done, weather is

slightly perking up,

and after the past weeks

events in the U.S. I think

we could all use a pick me up.

I was so moved by all that

has been happening in the

United States 

just breaks my heart for 

those in Texas and the 

horrible episode in Boston.

When we're inundated with

such painful and terrible news

Yes, I admit it freely! GRIN

Honest, I haven't Forgotten You All....

I knew I was really behind

in getting some blogging

done, but didn't realize

that it's been so long!

Sorry about that!

So here we are

another Holiday Weekend!

And as you can see,

even Oliver Howard

is ready for some

marshmallow peeps :)

(Poor Darling is so good about

my dressing him up at Holiday Times)

As you know from my

past couple of blog posts,

I've been floundering 

and I must say, I still am

to a certain extent.

Doing lots of experimenting

with Stains, and Inks and

Paints and Graphics

( Graphics from Ceremony on Etsy)

Experimenting with mixing

and matching....

And playing with Stencils and

Washi Tapes too.

I find that once I have the

background page done, it's 

almost as if Graphics Kits 

speak to me, like this

Well, blame it on the weather,

(although it's been a mild

winter, can't complain)

Blame it on too many things

to do...

( that is always a good excuse!)

Or even Blame it on Tax Time

( oh no!!! That's right around

the corner!)

But I'm still Floundering! 

(Grin)

Even though, I've kind of taken

some time off from all the 

ATC's Swapping and the 

Giveaways here on my blog,

I have been filling some of my

time with projects!

From my last post the 

Playing Card ATC Swap

is still in the works, almost finished

the deck of cards, (will post pictures when finished on my next blog post!)

... but got a little

motivated in another direction.....

I went to DeviantScrap.com

and low and behold a 

Fabulous New Graphics Kit 

from the Fabulous

Tumblefish Graphics!!

'Once Upon a Time'

That was it!

I opened up a new deck of

Playing Cards.....

And I was hooked! LOL!

Along with some Incredible 

Lazier Cut-Outs 

from the Fabulous

Retro Cafe Art Gallery

I just kept going making these!

But it didn't stop there!

3 a.m. in the morning, I jump 

out of bed with an idea!!!

Brooches!!!!

Then before I knew it I'd made 

a whole bunch of them!

So I kept ping ponging back

and forth between the 

Playing Card ATC's

and 

The Brooches,

and then...

Using some Fabulous Goodies

from

Retro Cafe Art Gallery, 

and a Playing Card that

I'd Altered using my own

Vintage Photo and Retro's 

Wonderful Lazier Cut-Outs

I came up with this 'Story Board'

as I like to call them:)

motivated to do this...

I used cut 'n' paste

of the background of this 

Altered Playing Card

and then blew it up

to get the background 

torn paper image

for the Journal Page.

So there you go...

a few sleepless nights,

and grabbing some
